You will find a lot of adverts for Amazon throughout my web sites, if you want to go through to any of the links, just give them a click. Some will take you to my own customise lists that I have made especially for the pages I am working on, others are direct links, and if you want to come back you will have to click Back on browser.
There you go , my little shopping advice for the new year, my daughter bought me Pirates of the Caribbean three for Christmas, she got it reduced to £7.00 but if she had asked I could have ordered it myself for £4.36 and no postage or petrol. Since being stuck at home more now the weather is so bad and me, the wheelchairs and my darling husband Peter find it much easier to shop on line. I like Tesco for my shopping and they deliver all my stuff for the week, it cost us £4 for delivery but we live five miles from the nearest shops so it is brilliant. I also do all my banking , BT, Electric, all my bills in fact, even as small as £2.00 for the Orangutang in Burma. What a saving, I would recommend all pensioners to start shopping online. Why not start your own web site like I did, one where you can put pictures of all the grand kids, holidays, etc. and even watch video’s on line of the kids like I did with my daughter in Spain a couple years ago, wonderful
.
Like all things you have to be careful you don’t go overboard and sign up for everything you see. That is an easy mistake you can make, from 18 to 90 I think.
Ever thought of writing a story, then use the web, I use Zoomshare.com for my websites, there are very many abut and sometimes things go wrong.. … ask poor Sare who has helped me out of bother dozens of times. It is such a thrill. If anyone had told me I would have four websites, a very large Spaces Live with Microsoft as well, I’d have said don’t be daft. But here I am working on what was to become Dreamland for the little ones. Oh my what fun I have looking for pictures to accompany my stories and then to find a wonderful web site that has many wonderful things on it. I get so excited that I have been known to ne up till 4 in the morning.Thank goodness for My Darling Peter Husband again. Gosh How I love him.
I must admit to playing Poker – Texas Holdem on line also, this is my recreation. Friends I have hundreds, all over the world. from Tasmania to Transylvania, all of them wonderful. It is such a pleasure, though I wish more people would sign my guest books, Frown you get many hits butnot many messages, telling you how wonderful you are .Smile.  I had a lovely one the day before yesterday though , here in Dreamland it was really lovely. Made my Christmas, that and seeing two of my 19 grand children. hm very busy children I have . There are pictures of most of them either scattered on the web pages or in the photo albums on my spaces and in the four sites.
Right that me finished for tonight, I am going into my bed now. Snuggle down with one of my two dogs, Abs, Penny sleeps upstairs with Peter. The cat sleeps where the heat is most and tonight it is very cold indeed in my Welsh Mountain Village of Pontybodkyn. Do pop in if ever your passing on your way to the West Coast through Corwen, I am normally at home.
Take care to Everyone and remember you can wish all and everyone a happy, prosperous and good New Year, but you are the only one that can make it appen.
Look after your health, especially in this dreadfully cold weather, Respect your friends and family as you would like them to respect you. And LOVE, that little four letter wo
rd. Try each day to share you love with someone, to help them and guide them along the road of life which oft these times need not only your love’ but your understanding as well. Life for the young these days, seems much more complicated than my life when I was young. Try to have time for them, listen to them, I have found that very acceptable with all my youngsters. Don’t knock their ideas back continually or they will stop having their own ideas and take on others, and their ideas just mightn’t be as good as their own.
Gosh I am supposed to be in bed. My love and respect to all of the human race, and May the God you love and respect look after you and keep you safe from harm throughout the rest of your life.
Hugs and XXX’s Seligor, Diddilydeedot and Dorothy, one for all and all are one.

ALL AT SELIGORS CASTLE – ALL AT SELIGORS CASTLE – ALL AT SELIGORS CASTLE

BE HAPPY TODAY for It’s Happiness Day
I must apologise for the lack of blogs at the Castle this month, as you
can imagine having a family the size of mine you have a million and one
things to take care of.
It has been a very strange month mind you, an awful lot of things have
happened, the landmark Woolworth have closed their doors in Aberdare
today. The first in Wales to do so, I wasn’t a huge customer, I think I
gave up going their when I became a mother and found other things like
food to spend my hard earned house-keeping on.

I suppose I grew up with Woolworth, M & S, Littlewoods, they have
all gone now as well
I think. Hey does anyone remember Timothy Whites,
the fore-runner to Mr Bevan here in Wales. My early Chistmas memories where in Liverpool the home of my Grandmother, "Number 10 Kremlin Drive, Stonycroft. Gosh that was almost sixty years ago, deary me I
am an Ancient Dragon after all, hee he. Lister Drive School, The Swimming Baths, the Carlton Cinema, Mrs Mullins Sweetie Shop were we could buy four blackjacks for a penny (1d, that is!) A liquorice stick and a piece of Sticky Lice. Come on who amongst you old codgers remembers Sticky Lice. You can still get it in Wrexham in that wee shop on the left before going into the market. (or on the right if you’re coming out, Smile
I have the Swiss Family Robinson on the TV, I’m not sure a desert island is for me, I like my music too much, I don’t think I could live a week before listening or watching Pink Floyd in Venice. Agh- h- h! and what about Lord of the Rings, I couldn’t go without the films, oh dear, what am I talking about. If the worst ever happened I guess we all live on an island anyway, just chop off the Channel Tunnel, hey and were free again.
Wink
Right
where was I, Yes Mrs Mullins, but that was ages ago, times past as in the fabulous stories of Charles Dickens, and were back in Pontybodkyn watching the Family Robinson.
with
dozens of birds and squirrels fighting for the seeds put out by Peter, my beloved Embarassed I also have a couple of dogs, Abbey and Penny , there pics scattered over the homepages of my web sites. Gosh which brings me back to 13.20 on Saturday 27th December, and must be cup of tea time. I still have a few things to do before putting the first chapter of book three of the Dragon Lord Trilogy into place.
So if you will forgive me again, I will get on with some work now…   after my cup of tea, of course….  I hope to see you all very soon and I promise plenty more blogs.

Happy New Year to Every One and may 2009 be the best one yet.

A Lovely little poem from a lovely little book by Ella Wheeler Wilcox 1915.

A Beautiful Little Rhyme by Ella Wheeler Wilcox from her wee book "Poems of Cheer."

 TO
MARRY OR NOT TO MARRY

A GIRL’S
REVERIE

Mother says, "Be in no hurry,
marriage often means care and
worry."

Auntie says, with manner grave,
"Wife is a synonym for slave."

Father asks,
in tones commanding, "How does Bradstreet rate his
standing?"

Sister, crooning to her twins,
sighs, "With marriage care begins."

Grandma,
near life’s closing days, murmurs, "Sweet are
girlhood’s ways."

Maud twice widowed ("sod
and grass") looks at me and moans
"Alas!"

They are six and I am one, Life
for me has just begun.
They are older, calmer,
wiser; Age should aye be youth’s
adviser.

They must know – and yet, dear me,
when in Harry’s eyes I see
All the world of love
there burning – on my six advisers
turning,

I make answer, "Oh, but Harry is
not like most men who marry.
Fate has offered me
a prize, life with love means
Paradise.

Life without it is not worth all
the foolish joys of earth".

So, in spite of all they say, I
shall name the wedding day.

A wonderful
little rhyme on what other than marriage

Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see, pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring, pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King, pa rum pum pum pum,

So to honour Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
When we come.

I am a poor boy too, pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring, pa rum pum pum pum
That’s fit to give the King, pa rum pum pum pum,

Shall I play for you, pa rum pum pum pum,
On my drum?

Mary nodded, pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time, pa rum pum pum pum

Up on the lonely rath’s green mound?
Only the plaintive yellow bird
Sighing in surtry fields around,
Chary, chary, chary, chee-ee,
Only the grasshopper and the bee.
"Tip-tap, rip-rap,
Tick-a-tack-too!
Scarlet leather, sewn together ,
This will make a shoe.
Left, right, pull it tight;
Summer days are warm;
Underground in winter,
Laughing at the storm!"
Lay your ear close to the hill.
Do you catch the tiny clamour –
Busy clook of an elfin hammer,
Voice of the lupracaun singing shrill
As he merrily plies his trade?
He’s a span,
And a quarter in height.
Get him in sight, hold him tight,
And you’re a made man!.

The Story of the Nativity as told by Diddily Dee Dot

Mary and Joseph expect a baby, which is safe inside Mary.

Once upon a time, in fact about 2000 years ago in a small village there lived a young maiden, her name was Mary.

Mary was very happy for soon she was to marry Joseph, the village Carpenter. The day for the wedding was approaching fast,  Mary was very happy, then something wonderful happened to make her even more happy. She was told by the Angel Gabriel that she would find herself having a baby very soon and the baby would be the son of God and his name should be called Jesus.

Mary was happy, Joseph was happy and the time passed quickly and it would not be long till the baby Jesus was born. Then as if to spoil their happiness, a message from Egypt was sent to the four corners of the land to tell everyone that they must go to register their names at the village where they were born so that they could pay their taxes.

Mary travels on a donkey to Bethlehem.

This meant Joseph would have to go to Bethlehem. He couldn’t leave Mary behind, not with the baby being due so it was decided they would go together. Joseph arranged with a friend to borrow his donkey and together the couple joined all the other people who were travelling to their birth villages.

By the time they arrive in Bethlehem all the Inns were full and they could find no where to get some rest. After wondering about for neary two hours they arrived at this small inn on the outskirts of town and were told they could share the stable outside if they didn’t mind sharing with the animals. Joseph was so pleased to have somewhere for Mary to lie down, he said he would take the stable before anyone else took it.

Nativity Story       Making Mary as comfortable as possible, he moved about trying to make a little more room for her to have the baby which had decided to come then and there.

And so it happened right there in a stable in a little town called Bethlehem, surrounded by some sheep, a cow and now a donkey, as well as Mary’s husband Joseph, Mary gave birth to her baby, and they cgave him the name Jesus.

They laid him in a manger of straw and both Mum and Dad were very, very proud parents. Love and beauty shone all around, outside in the meadows and fields Angels sang of the new arrival.

The Angel bringing the message to Mary.

It was not too many minutes later that the stable door opened and there in the doorway stood three shepherds who had been looking after their sheep in the fields above the stable. They saw the bright star in the sky and knew that something special was happening, for the voices of Angels could be heard throughout the land.

These shepherds, I suppose, were to begin the tradition of giving presents at Christmas, for with them they brought a little  lamb, which nestled quietly besides the manger. A star shines brightly over Bethlehem

Then within minutes of their arrival, Lo and Behold three men arrived at the small stable. They were Melchior, Belthasar and Caspar, three Magi who had travelled from different parts of the world, arriving at the stable to pay their respects to the new born King. They had followed a star which had directed them to the stable, almost to the minute that the baby Jesus had arrived himself..

They had brought with them, gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. Palestine Doll Set - Nativity Scene. sunbula. ywca Palestine

The scene was almost complete, the wee baby Jesus lying in the manger, the cattle were lowing, the wee lambs raising their heads to the sound of the  Angels as their song filled the air with a voice of Praise and Adoration, for the Saviour of the World had arrived. A Saviour who was to change the World of Man forever-more.

The Magi as depicted in Argentina

Most of us know the story of the Nativity, and just as many of us have their own version of this same Nativity. His colour may be different, his prophecies may be different but until the end of time there will always be a baby, he will always try to change the world and make for goodness and mercy for the people for all their lives.

Let us remember the words, these words and add to them, that this little baby was born to give life to all who will listen. So therefore children never stop listening, never stop learning and that goodness and mercy will remain with you always.

Fiona Flies into Danger

It was a cold February morning, a watery
sun had just woke up and was shining over Fingles Wood.
There was still some snow left on the ground but now at least the snowdrops could feel the warmth
of the sun on their pretty white gowns.
In
the tree tops the rooks were calling to each other whilst in the bushes
the sparrows and robins were asking everyone to wake up.  Two little
field mice scuttled down their hole to sleep for the day.
Deep under the ground Monty Mole could hear the singing of the birds.
"I can’t for the life of me understand why they have to be so cheerful every morning.”  he said, before going back to sleep.
Flora the old fox was still dreaming of the days when she used to give the huntsmen a run for their money, now she just lay snug and warm in her den and let the young cubs have the fun.
Mrs
Rabbit had been up before the birds, with six children to look after
and the weather  being so lousy, she had to try to get the housework
done before they woke up.
She had just finished washing the clothes and  she went outside to hang it up.
“Morning Robby, morning Sidney.” she called out as she walked over to the washing line.
“Morning to you to Mrs Rabbit.” the birds sang out together.
“You have been busy this morning, are the children still in bed?”
“Yes, thank goodness.” She shouted back.
Molly Rabbit looked up at the washing line then stopped in amazement.
She couldn’t believe her eyes, for there, hanging on the clothes line, was a little fairy!
Molly closed her eyes and opened them again, there really was a  fairy stuck to her washing line.

Quick word, very late, Seligor is shattered but must leave message for kids etc.
